I received a comment on my recent UI post asking what the main mods I used to create it were. I started to respond in the comment but it just starting getting too long so I decided to make it a full blown post.
I use a TON of different addons but here’s a quick list of the main ones (you can find them all on WoWAce.com:
eePanels2 — This is a simple panel mod. It’s used to create that black box on the bottom
bartender4 — Bar mod. I combined it with BarFacade to get the cool circular buttons with the sparks
simpleMiniMap — Name says it all, used to create the square minimap in the upper right.
Fubar2 — A wonderful addon that creates the small bar at the top and bottom of my screen. It has a number of different plugins for keeping track of a number of things including your other mods. You’ll notice Performance, Gold, Honor, Reputation, Durability, and bag space on mine, among other things.
iceHUD — Used to create the curved bars in the center of the screen. I prefer the HUD over unitframes myself but that’s a personal preference. On the left is my Health and Energy while on the right is my target’s Health and Mana/Energy/Rage. This is all configurable though.
agUnitFrames — This is used to create the raid frames on the left. It also creates player and target unit frames though I have mine hidden.
elkBuffBars — In the upper left you’ll notice all my buffs. The look, position and size of these are completely customizable.
classTimer — You’ll notice the Slice and Dice and Deadly Poison Timers below my HUD. This mod creates those. Once again, very customizable.
ORA2 — In between my raid frames and my HUD you’ll see my player targets created by ORA2. ORA2 is a raid assist mod that does a number of things. I personally haven’t had a lot of time to play with everything it can do myself but I have started using the player target feature. Basically you can choose a number of players (I have chosen our tanks as well as our assist target) and then you can always see what they are targeting.
Chatter — This is my chat window mod. Some people swear by Prat but I find Chatter to do everything Prat does while using less memory.
Other cool mods that I use that you can’t see in the screenshot are:
ArkInventory — A single bag mod. This guy can be a bit high on memory usage but the level of customization means I can’t live without it.
Cellular — Turn your whispers into an Instant Message Window. I absolutely love this as I have a tendency to not pay attention to my chat window. Others will swear by WoW Instant Messenger, but like Chatter and Prat, this does the same thing with less memory used.
And there you have it! I guess it’s not all that much when only the main ones are laid out. Hope this helps.
