Monday, Monday, Monday. Is there any greater day of the week? Well, Saturday…and Friday, even Sunday…and probably Tuesday…Thursday isn’t too bad…you know what, forget I said anything.
First week of patch 3.1 and Zaltu gives it two big undead thumbs up. There are a few problems (a lot of which I expect to get resolved in whatever small fixer-upper patch we get tomorrow) but as far as I’m concerned things are going well in the World of Warcraft.
Arena Season 6 starts tomorrow (I believe) and this will be the first season where I give this whole arena thing a try. I will most definitely be running a 2v2 with my friend, the angry frost mage (AFM) and probably be running a 3v3 with him and our pocket disc priest. With this in mind AFM and I spent nearly all of Saturday running skirmishes to get our feet wet (this proved to be particularly annoying as the join as group feature appears to be completely borked, fun stuff). In short, it was a soul crushing experience but an enjoyable one still if that makes any sense. It’s a challenge and not one from which I plan to back away.
No results for last week because I didn’t post a list last week! What? I was on vacation dammit.

Dalaran Fishing and Argent Tournament. Do them everyday. It can be tough to squeeze them in before the raid but I really want to start moving ahead in the tournament.
Do at least 10 Arena matches on whichever teams end up getting formed. More importantly, learn something from each match. I should probably keep some sort of written record of that stuff…hmm…
What’s everyone else up to this week? Are you enjoying 3.1?
Perhaps I’ll finally start leveling fishing again. Since I can train in Dalaran now, I won’t have to run everywhere.
Argent Tournament too. It reminds me of SSO.
I have a 60 PvE rogue that I am back to leveling, and was wondering if you have/had written any advice on weapons. My understanding was the min/max 80 crowd respeced from sword/dagger/mace depending on what purple dropped recently.
I had just assumed the old-fashioned advice of optimal leveling spec was combat; after getting an affliction lock to 80 in November, I really want simple. I just assumed that meant combat swords. But looking around the AH ( I don’t think I am up to instances), I dont see an excess of great swords.
If you had the time, any advice on leveling in 3.1 would be appreciated.
I’ll have to force myself to do more AT dailies so I can start earning champion’s seals.
Other than that I’d like to get my fourth piece of PvP gear so I can get the set bonus and run around with 130 energy.
I’d also like to get a heroic or two in so I can buy Rolfen’s Ripper.
And perhaps start looking for an arena partner as well.

I’m seriously considering blowing a grand for dual spec and trying out HaT even though i am saving up for epic flying
but i think i’ll try to get some daggers first, i suppose i can use the OH one for combat too if i switch to cqb
and by cqb, i of course mean cqc, i fail at acronyms
