Monday To-Do List

Right out of the gate I’m going to tell you that I’m forgoing a list this week as well. I should start calling this post Monday update instead of to-do list but you know how I feel about change (I don’t like it). With that said I have two solid posts lined up for this week that I hope to get out before I go on vacation this weekend (does it seem like I go on vacation a lot? Because I do, it is one of the benefits of being as awesome as I am). So you have that to look forward to.

In addition to my standard what is everyone else up to this week question, I leave you with another question. As I was looking over my guild this weekend I noticed that it seemed to have a spawned a bevy of druid alts. This got me thinking. 1st, what’s so special about Druids anyways? And second, am I the only one in this guild with only one 80? So I ask you my readers, are you a single character kinda player or do you have multiple 80s and if so, how many?

  1. I have a rogue and its my only 80, is to funny rol a rogue to invert time in other class.

  2. I have only 1 80 which is my rogue.

I have a DK who im currently leveling for the gathering profession, not seriously planning on using it for raiding or pvp purpose, and a lvl 1 mule.

I have rolled a druid and a priest as well but they are sitting at lvl 15 each and haven’t touched them in a month or so..

I find that having a rogue, i spend too much time either farming gold, raiding, pvp’ing, theorycrafting to have time to seriously invest in another class. There’s just too much to do/know about the rogue if you want to be a serious rogue.

  3. Hell yeah I only have one 80 and it’s my rogue, not only that, but I made him on day one of release. Prior I played EQ for 4ish years again exclusively as a rogue. I do have a 19 and 29 twink rogue and oh yeah of course a lvl 1 bank alt rogue. some say I have issues, but then I click Vanish and ambush their asses.

  4. I’ve only got 1 80 (my rogue), not really bothered with my couple of level 70s.

  5. Those who can, Rogue. Those who can’t, kitty? >.>

Though, honestly, I love druids. Back when I was Alliance, my Druid was my main. I re-rolled a Tauren a while back and got her up to 51 relatively quickly before getting distracted with some shiny bit of paper or something.

As for my 80′s, well, I have two. I used to be really into alts and had something like six 70′s. Of course, only three of them were Horde-side and I’ve gotten 2/3 of the Hordies to 80–as opposed to my 0/3 Alliance standings. At least I have my priorities in order. ;)

  6. I have only one 80, myself. My Rogue. It seems to me that those who take a Rogue seriously (as seriously as one can take a game) focus on that Rogue. In my experiences, being a bit behind the curve all the time has really kind of made me this way. I stop playing WoW for about 6 months before BC came out, and when I came back, I was way behind. I came back just in time for WotLK and, now that I’m on the top side, I can’t really look back to level through all the crap. Much like Zaltu, I’m a whore for achievements I hate seeing rep bars half filled up. That really leaves me in a place to always have something to do.

  7. It seems that if you play a rogue, you play ONLY a rogue! It is the same with me, though I have a lv55 shadow priest that I brought up simply to level (dis)enchanting.

Maybe as rogue is a specialised class, it attracts those who like to specialise. Do one thing well.

  8. Put me in the “only one 80″ camp. I’ve got my 80 rogue and whilst I have a few alts, only the Warlock made it anywhere (level 25 w00t!) before I focused on my rogue more. I have recently made another alt that’s getting decent playtime…

    A combat:swords rogue. ;)

    Nothing else feels *right*.

  9. I started out with warlock… he’s 80 now… then i wanted a tank warrior because there was a huge shortage of tanks on the server i used to play… he’s 80 too… then i played a few other classes but fell in love with my rogue… currently 73 but looking forward to 80 and doing some arena with him…

I’ve literally stopped playing all my other characters… i just log onto them and do AH for gold… is it weird to have two 80′s that are Ulduar ready as your bank alts? lol

  10. Oops I am in the wrong bar. My 80s in order were Pally, lock, shaman, hunter, mage. DK is 73 and the rogue is 61.

Druids and paladins are the only classes that allow you to DPS, tank or heal. So you can roll one without deciding what you want to be when you grow up. Druid stealth isn’t vanish but it really helps with quests/mining. In fact, a stealth plus instant flight form makes for a very nice farming alt. My DK is leveling with a dual spec druid – boomkin usually, but resto when there is a group quest. And of course as a healer, they can get in an instance most any time they want. Anyway, I would expect that dual spec will increase the pally/druid #s a bit for alts.
